Stalwart and Miri Systems Partner to Arrest ID Theft

January 31, 2012 – Charlotte, North Carolina – Stalwart announced today that it has signed a partnership agreement with MIRI Systems (http://www.mirisystems.com), the providers of next generation fraud and identity protection software. According to Stalwart’s CTO, Glenn Johnson, “Miri may become known as the company that eliminated 90 percent of credit card fraud. We believe that this technology has the potential to revolutionize the industry.”

“Miri Systems is extremely pleased to be partnered with such a highly qualified and well-certified IT security firm as Stalwart,” noted Ludwik Zon, Miri's CEO. “Their professional integrity and mastery of IT engineering are ideal complements for the technology behind our Miri solutions.”

Miri holds several international patents for their anti-fraud solutions which include MiriPay and MiriID. The MiriPay solution can generate a single-use, ISO 7812-compliant credit card number. This number can be used for on-line transactions or with Near Field Communications (NFC) payment terminals. Because the number is valid only once, it cannot be successfully re-used if stolen. The number is then valuable only as a means of tracking fraud in the event that it is stolen during the payment transaction. This solution is being piloted at several large financial organizations around the world.

MiriID uses the same underlying intellectual property to address fraud related to account IDs. Key applications include computer user accounts and health care patient IDs among others. Given the billions of dollars lost to health care fraud every year, this solution may have more material impact on health care providers than any other single technology.
