Stalwart Pursuit

Engineer Direct Engagement Model

The founders of Stalwart grew up in the conventional reseller/integrator business model where the following roles were en force:

  • Outside Salesperson
  • Pre-sales Engineer
  • Project Manager
  • Delivery Engineer(s)

In our view a project begins when the first requirement is communicated. Our experience in the conventional business model is that project requirements often become seriously distorted by the time they make it from the salesperson to the pre-sales engineer to the project manager to the delivery engineer(s). When this happens, the client's expectations are not alligned with the actual deliverable which leads to dissatisfaction and clients feeling "trapped." Additionally, it has been our experience that the delivery engineers wind up doing the job of the PMO's project managers because the project managers do not grasp the technology well enough to manage complex projects efficiently. This hidden inefficiency gets passed along to the customer in the form of bloated labor estimates, project change requests, project re-work, budget variances and missed deadlines.

We Combined Four Roles Into ONE

At Stalwart, we do not have a separate sales and pre-sales force, but go to market with our engineering force. We combined  the conventional IT salesperson, pre-sales engineer and project manager into our Principal Engineer role so you can deal directly with some of the best engineers in the Carolinas. Not only do these people know the technology and services capabilities they represent, they are also vested with the authority to make ciritical decisions and marshal resources on your behalf and manage your projects (often performing some or all of the work themselves). By combining these roles, Stalwart empowers its Principal Engineers to recommend appropriate high impact consulting and technology solutions for your business. Our business model was reengineered from the ground up to provide you with unsurpassed knowledge transfer, which begins in the sales cycle.
